Message from Founder 

Since 2010 to now, AHMA has been established for over ten years.

There are still lots of things waiting for us to learn and there is still a long way to go.

However over the past ten years, AHMA has continually stood by their initial direction and aim, AHMA carried out in-depth exploration and research for the future health and vigorous development ideas provided to the Asian hairdressing industry. 

We expected to provide a reference route for the development direction of the Chinese and Asian hairdressing industry in Hong Kong,China, Taiwan, Malaysia , UK, Holland, Indonesia, Philippines, and other places to carry out activities to build a cultural exchange platform. 

I am very grateful to the friends and hairstylist who have participated in AHMA ‘s different activities, competitions and hair show in the past ten years. 

Thank you for your participation and continual support. 

As l said, AHMA will promote a new stage in the future. The competitions and hair

show will be organised by the local branches independently, so the seeds of AHMA will spread widely.  

There are too many places for the development of the hair market and are waiting to be excavated. I will try my best to assist and solve the new problems of Hair industry and hope that everyone will continue to support us.

In 2019, AHMA was honoured to be invited by the China International Salon Show to make AHMA return to Guangzhou in 2019 to host the AHMA 9th Hair and Styling Competition and Hair Show since the first competition was held in Guangzhou in 2011. 

China International Salon Show has made great efforts to build a display platform for China’s professional hairdressing salon industry and become the landing point of China’s professional hairdressing salon industry and international standards. 

A message to all our leaders and masters in hair industry, in the future, we must re-examine the weakness of our industry. 

We must create a new system and we must set a system of professional education. 

It is necessary to concentrate and streamline in place, set professional standards as the goal of training. 

I hope that the development of the hair industry in future will match up with the real needs of the market. 

We have to think about how to make young people willing to join hair industry? 

How can we “carry on and pass on our knowledge to the young generation” to a better future?

The current system in hair industry is imperfect and unreasonable: there is no completed professional and qualified training system for hair assistants to follow or learn. 

 Let the hair industry have a better condition and environment to attract high-quality talents to join our industry.

Introducing AHMA Hair Council

The first collaboration of the hair industry in Hong Kong. The AHMA Hair council represents the future of our industry and it will allow our industry to come together as one and unite our industry and grow it to a level of professionalism and be leaders in our field

AHMA HAIR COUNCIL MISSION

AHMA HAIR Council is a professional hairdressing association, which aims to promote the professionalisation of the hairdressing industry practitioner, gather and build various industry information and communication platforms, and jointly discuss the orderly development of the hairdressing industry in Hong Kong.

• Actively promotes the hairdressing industry member working with qualifications, advocate the Hong Kong practitioners full registration, establish a professional image
• Advocates the establishment of the hairdressing industry norms, the establishment of professional standards of industry functions, and the improvement and promotion of industry systems
• Advocates life-long learning for the hairdressing practitioner, assists practitioners to create career plans, and enhances practitioner ‘ qualifications with professional education
• Actively promote the service, management and retail of the hairdressing industry intelligent and systematic, enhance the professional competitiveness of the hairdressing industry and other industries
