The “Form” Innovative Generation Fashion Show of the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) Concludes Successfully

On July 4, 2025, the highly anticipated “Form” Innovative Generation Fashion Show of the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) concluded successfully! The event showcased approximately 40 wearable art pieces designed by graduates from the Fashion Image Design and Performance Styling Diploma programs, integrating creative makeup, hairstyling, and styling design, reflecting the young designers’ keen insights into fashion trends.

Ms. Linda Yip, founder of AHMA, and Principal An Yang from AAMA Cosmetology Academy Beijing were invited to attend and serve as award presenters, presenting the “AHMA” Creative Hair Styling Award and the “Image Lab 360” Total Image Award to the winning students.

Linda Beauty Group, AHMA Hair Council, AAMA Cosmetology Academy, and Image Lab 360 have been sponsors of the HKDI Fashion Image Design Department’s fashion show for many years.

Beauty Industry Experts Gather in Guangzhou! In-Depth Exchange Between Guangzhou and Hong Kong to Co-Create a New Industry Blueprint

On June 26, a significant beauty industry exchange event was successfully held at the Guangzhou Beauty Hair and Makeup Industry Association. A delegation from the AHMA Hong Kong Hairdressing Association visited to engage in in-depth discussions with members of the association and many senior professionals in the hairdressing field, collectively brainstorming strategies for the high-quality development of the beauty industry.

On that day, Ms. Yip Wai Man, founder of the AHMA Hong Kong Hairdressing Association, along with Chairman Yip Chin Hung and Secretary General Wong Tsoi Fung, visited the Guangzhou Beauty Hair and Makeup Industry Association. President Yang Yulian and Vice President Zhang Yong warmly welcomed them, and both parties conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as cutting-edge trends in the hairdressing industry, technological innovations, and talent development systems.

President Yang expressed a warm welcome for the AHMA Hong Kong Hairdressing Association’s visit, stating, “The AHMA has achieved outstanding accomplishments and possesses rich experience in the industry. I hope both sides can speak freely, learn from each other, and jointly promote the hairdressing industry to new heights.”

As the founder of the AHMA, Ms. Yip shared the association’s founding principles and development history. She mentioned, “The hairdressing industry is not just about technical presentation; it’s about the transmission of art and beauty. AHMA is dedicated to building a platform for industry exchange, enhancing the professional skills and aesthetic appreciation of hairdressing practitioners. We look forward to sparking new ideas during our visit to the association.”

During the exchange session, both sides delved into various core topics, discussing current popular hairdressing techniques, how to meet consumers’ increasingly diverse needs through innovative designs, talent cultivation models in the beauty industry, and the future directions of digitalization and intelligence in the industry. Association leaders expressed a desire to strengthen talent interaction between the two regions, proposing joint training and competition collaborations to cultivate more high-quality professionals for the industry. Ms. Yip agreed and shared the AHMA’s distinctive courses and practical experiences in talent development.

After the discussion, the group moved to another venue, where beauty industry experts from various regions gathered. On June 20, 2025, the Shenzhen Hair, Beauty, and Cosmetics Industry Association, in collaboration with associations from Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shanwei, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, and Meizhou, hosted the 2025 “Golden Sycamore Award”—the Fourth Annual “Breaking the Game, Gathering Strength, and Achieving Prosperity” High-Quality Sustainable Development Conference and the Seventh “Inheriting the Rhythm, Embracing Innovation, and Striving for Excellence” Artisan Brand and Artisan Star Honor Ceremony at the Grand Sheraton Hotel in Shenzhen.

This event aims to empower the beauty industry, promote its sustainable high-quality development, and explore new paths for the beauty economy. Presidents of beauty industry associations from across the country and the Greater Bay Area, outstanding brand entrepreneurs, and representatives from the Shenzhen municipal government gathered to witness this grand occasion.

Ms. Linda Yip, founder of AHMA, was invited to attend and served as the award presenter for the Overall Winner in Image Design and the AHMA-Best New Talent Award.

AHMA Seoul Internship Tour 2025

On April 29, 2025, AHMA founder Ms. Linda Yip received an invitation from JUNOHAIR in South Korea to attend the SASSOON Collection Seminar. The seminar will feature the latest collection, I-CONIC, led by Mark Hayes, the International Creative Director of Sassoon, along with a creative team from the UK salon. The I-CONIC collection marks the first step in Sassoon’s innovation as it enters its next seventy years, paying tribute to the rich heritage of Vidal Sassoon while embracing the future of individuality and expression.

The name “I-CONIC” embodies a dual meaning: “I” represents individuality, celebrating personal identity, while “I-CONIC” also pays homage to the minimalist and striking photographic style of Sassoon’s classics from the 1960s. The focus remains on pure, architectural, and timeless hair, stripped of styling and distractions.

Additionally, the 62nd JUNO HAIR SHOW will showcase 177 graduating hair design students, who will successfully complete their graduation show in front of an audience of 4,000 from both domestic and international backgrounds, officially becoming professional hair designers.
