The organizer of this competition, the AHMA Hair Council, is a non-profit charity organization as well as a professional hairdressing association. Its aim is to promote the professionalization of practitioners in the hairdressing industry, gathering and creating various platforms for industry information and communication to explore the orderly development of the hairdressing sector. We hope that this competition will encourage young designers to showcase their talents, enhance the professional standards of the industry, and promote communication and development within the beauty sector of the Greater Bay Area.

9th September 2024 Ms Linda Yip , Founder of AHMA Hair Council, together with Mr Joseph Ho Siu Chung, Supervisorof The Cosmetic & Perfumery Association of Hong Kong (CPAHK), held a meeting with the Vocational Training Council (VTC) at its office in Cheung Sha Wan, to reflect the views of the hairand beauty industry and to discuss with the VTC on the future development of the hair and beauty industry.

The AHMA Hair Council Founder, Ms. Linda Yip, visited Wiiborn Salon to interview Owners Jeff and Jack. She gained valuable insights into the industry’s latest trends and needs, as well as the challenges in talent cultivation. Ms. Yip provided professional advice and suggestions to help address the hair industry’s concerns. She also shared updates on the Greater Bay Area and inspiring industry developments to motivate the hairstylists. We are grateful to Jeff and Jack for taking the time to discuss the future of the hairdressing industry with Ms. Yip amidst their busy schedules.

Ms. Linda Yip, the founder of Linda Bueayt Group, was invited to present the awards at the VTC Youth College’s “The 1st Concept Show”, where Linda Beauty Group and AAMA Cosmetology Academy have been supporting the youth academy for many years, focusing on the growth of the young generation into professional talents.

The theme of the event, “Awakening the Circus”, was a fantastic fusion of the circus scene and the students’ works, which demonstrated the creativity and uniqueness of each student! Congratulations again to the winners!

It is our great honor to be invited, along with 4 other salons, to attend the VTC Youth College Career Day. Through this event, we were able to share the growth and success stories of hairstylists, as well as provide insights into the real-world work environment. This has helped the soon-to-be graduates establish connections with salons and offered them valuable career planning information. We are grateful for the opportunity to guide these aspiring young individuals as they embark on their professional journeys.
