On April 9, 2025, in the vibrant spring campus, the Hong Kong AAMA Yacma Training Center and Guangdong Lingnan Modern Technician College (hereinafter referred to as Lingnan College) joined forces to officially establish the Hong Kong AAMA Yacma Training Center Guangzhou Branch at Lingnan College. This marks a significant step forward in the internationalization, systematization, and standardization of hairdressing professional education in the Greater Bay Area.
Founded in 2017 by Ms. Ye Huimin, the AAMA Yacma Training Center is an accredited assessment organization authorized by the UK’s VTCT & iTEC, serving as both the Authorized Organization (AO) and End-Point Assessment Organization (EPAO). It boasts a strong international faculty team and abundant professional educational resources. The first branch was established in Beijing in 2024, and the Guangzhou branch was officially founded in 2025 after sincere negotiations between both parties, marking an important step in aligning hairdressing professional education with international standards.
In the presence of distinguished guests, the Guangzhou branch of the AAMA Yacma Training Center was grandly inaugurated at Lingnan College. This collaboration not only represents an innovative practice of integrating industry, academia, and research, but also serves as a milestone in the knowledge ecosystem development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Ye Zhanhong, Development Director of the AAMA Yacma Training Center, outlined a forward-looking strategic plan and resource integration blueprint for AAMA’s future development. It is believed that, through multi-party collaboration, the Guangzhou branch will become a cradle for innovative talents in the Greater Bay Area!
In the future, the AAMA Yacma Training Center will adhere to “international professional education standards” as its teaching foundation, cultivating more high-quality professionals aligned with international standards in the Greater Bay Area. This will jointly promote high-quality services in the beauty industry, ensuring sustainable development and prosperity.
The event received strong support from many masters in the hairdressing industry in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. During the event, AAMA reached strategic cooperation agreements with (in no particular order) the Shenzhen Hairdressing, Beauty, and Cosmetics Industry Association, the Guangzhou Beauty, Hairdressing, and Makeup Industry Association, Soho Louis Tujama Salon, Baku Hairdressing Organization, and the 8008 Star Image Shop, expanding promotion channels for the new generation of hairdressing professionals. All our preparations are aimed at elevating the hairdressing industry to the 2.0 level.
The “Greater Bay Area Guangzhou and Hong Kong Hairdressing Industry Summit” focused on discussions about the evolution and development strategies of hairdressing salons in the Greater Bay Area over the next five years. Industry leaders shared their insights. At the conclusion of the summit, Ms. Ye Huimin, Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, Founder of the AAMA Yacma Training Center, and Founder of the AHMA Hairdressing Society, presented historical data on the Chinese beauty and hairdressing industry, highlighting the importance of standardization and regulation of education for future industry development. She proposed that practitioners in the beauty and hairdressing sectors of the Greater Bay Area should obtain the “One Exam, Three Certificates” as a standard and foundation, while supporting continuous professional development to maintain high-quality services and enhance consumer satisfaction. Ms. Ye’s proposal for “One Exam, Three Certificates” to become the professional standard “identity card” for beauty and hairdressing practitioners in the Greater Bay Area received unanimous approval from all attendees at the summit.
