On February 5th, a delegation headed by Ms.Yip Wai Man, Co-Chairperson of the Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong) Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Federation, paid a visit to the Guangzhou Hairdressing, Beauty and Cosmetics Industry Association. President Yang Yulian of the Association gave them a warm reception, and the two parties conducted in-depth and pragmatic exchanges and consultations concerning the coordinated development of the beauty industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This round of talks focused on advancing consensus centering on two core issues: On the one hand, the two parties jointly explored promoting the implementation of a "one exam, multiple certificates" vocational skill talent mutual recognition system within the scope of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, making every effort to eliminate barriers to the mutual recognition of beauty industry qualifications between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and further elevating the level of professionalization and standardization of the industry; On the other hand, in regard to the large-scale beauty industry activities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2026, the two parties reached a strategic consensus on in-depth cooperation, clearly defining that they will integrate high-quality industry resources from the two regions and join hands to build an industry grand event that boasts both high-level specifications and extensive influence.

This round of talks has achieved fruitful outcomes and profound significance, which marks that the cooperation in the beauty industry between Guangzhou and Hong Kong has officially stepped into a brand-new development stage. The two parties have reached a consensus to establish a long-term normalized communication and collaboration mechanism, and will work together in such aspects as joint talent cultivation, joint standard construction and joint market development, so as to inject strong impetus into the high-quality integrated development of the beauty industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, move forward in unity, and jointly open a new chapter for the industry.
