Organised by Youth College of the Vocational Training Council, the flagship annual showcase The 1st Concept 2026 concluded successfully on 12 June. Titled Voyage, the show symbolises students embarking on their artistic creation journey, braving waves and moving freely forward along the path of design.
This showcase brings together five distinctive programmes under Youth College’s Vocational Diploma for a joint presentation, where diverse aesthetics intersect to fully demonstrate the design prowess of the new generation: Fashion Design, Hairdressing, Professional Beauty, Image Design, and International Diploma (Design).
More than 60 elaborate handcrafted pieces were exhibited on-site, boasting outstanding texture and stunning all attendees. Students boldly integrated cross-disciplinary AI digital technologies to break the boundaries of traditional aesthetics. By merging handcrafted art with cutting-edge technology and keeping pace with industry trends, they unlocked brand-new forms of future design.
Ms. Yip Wai Man Founder of AHMA, was invited to the showcase as a prize presenter. She presented awards to the winners of the Best Hairstyling Award in Image Design and the AHMA-Best New Talent Award on site.
